The City of Glen Eira approximately 10 kilometres from Melbourne’s central business district, covers an area of 39 square kilometres with approximately 150,000 residents. Its suburbs could be considered distinct and colourful villages with diversity a common theme; there are large Jewish, Indian, Chinese, English, South African and Greek communities. with their own unique identities. The area is well served by public transport; local infrastructure; parks and recreation and considered a great place to live in Melbourne. In recent years, Glen Eira’s digital transformation team have been ensuring technology is being used to support and enable better services and access to information.
Project Scope
Development of customer kiosk, intranet forms portal. Integration to core council systems including Pathway and HP Content Manager and MS Active Directory.
Client’s Problem
Staff frustrated due to outdated internal processes. Outdated paper and basic online forms on staff intranet.
No integration of external forms with internal CRMS (Pathway) meaning requests require manual inputting.

Self-service kiosk (customer portal) built on Drupal with integration to Infor Pathway (Available at various locations throughout council including libraries).
An internal forms portal – all internal forms sit on a Drupal forms portal with sophisticated workflows that integrate with Microsoft AD, HP Content Manager.
Client outcomes
Easy access to digital services for citizens, in particular senior citizens.
Integration of internal forms with MS Active Directory and HP Content Manager saves HR time and money and advanced workflows direct requests to the right manager automatically.
