Symphony3, an Australian-owned local government technology company, has welcomed Dadfit as its first Community Partner. Dadfit is a registered charity helping dads improve their physical health, mental wellbeing and connection to family and community.

Dadfit was founded in 2023 by former professional cricketer Ryan Carters and writer and gender equality advocate Sarah Darmody. Its free five-week community programs combine group workouts, honest conversations and practical weekly challenges, built on a simple idea: being a dad is better together. Since starting with 15 dads meeting in a park, the Dadfit community has grown to more than 1,000 dads, with an independent evaluation finding significant improvements in participants' mental and physical health, confidence as parents and community connection.

Under the partnership, Symphony3 will support Dadfit's programs and provide senior advisory support as the charity scales, including help with the technology and systems that connect dads to programs in their local communities. In turn, Symphony3 and Dadfit will work together to bring Dadfit programs to more communities across Australia, including through Symphony3's relationships with local councils.

Symphony3 CEO Thomas Hynes said the partnership was a natural fit for both organisations.

Symphony3 exists to help councils create simple, connected experiences for their communities. Dadfit is doing exactly that on the ground, connecting dads to each other and to their communities in a way that changes lives. We are proud to welcome them as our first Community Partner and to help them reach more dads in more places

This partnership is about two organisations supporting each other to have a bigger impact than either could alone. Councils tell us every day that community connection and men's health are real challenges. Dadfit is a practical, proven answer to both.

Thomas Hynes, Chief Executive Officer, Symphony3

Dadfit co-founder Ryan Carters said the partnership would help Dadfit grow without losing what makes it work.

Our mission is to make dadding a team sport. Symphony3's support means we can bring Dadfit to more communities while keeping our programs free and true to what dads tell us they need. Having a partner who genuinely understands local communities, and the councils that serve them, makes a real difference

Ryan Carters, Co-founder, Dadfit

The partnership begins immediately.
