Granicus

Vendor

Granicus is a global, content management system (CMS) company that entered the Australian and New Zealand market through its acquisitions of two homegrown Australian companies: Bang the Table, the creator of EngagementHQ, the world's leading community engagement platform; and OpenCities, the digital customer journey platform that was working with nearly half of all Australian councils at the time of its acquisition. Combined under Granicus, these products form a connected platform that helps councils inform, engage, and serve their communities through modern digital experiences. Today, Granicus serves over 300 councils and government organisations across Australia and New Zealand, operating from its ANZ headquarters in Carlton, Victoria.

For local government, Granicus brings together council websites (OpenCities), community engagement and consultation (EngagementHQ), digital forms and service delivery (OpenForms), citizen communications and subscriptions (govDelivery), and permitting and licensing (AMANDA) in one connected platform. Named council clients include Moreton Bay Regional Council, Frankston City Council, Byron Shire Council, and more.

Granicus is hosted on AWS and holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications. The company holds a formal partnership with the Local Government Association of Queensland to support digital services for Queensland councils. Data residency for Australian customers is available under enterprise agreements.
