Local Government Victoria (LGV) is the Victorian State Government agency responsible for supporting and regulating Victoria's 79 councils. Operating within the Department of Government Services, LGV sets the legislative and policy framework within which councils operate, oversees the Local Government Act 2020, and delivers programs that directly shape how councils invest in and use technology.
